LTHot-melt adhesives: what holds it all together
A protection is assembled without stitching. Hot-melt adhesives, laid hot in very fine threads, bond the layers and hold the elastics.
Three families of adhesive
Construction adhesive bonds the layers together; elastic adhesive fixes the threads under tension; positioning adhesive, on some pads, holds the product in the underwear. Each has its formula, its temperature and its application pattern.
Little, but well placed
The quantity of adhesive is counted in grams per square metre and laid in threads or spirals. Too much adhesive stiffens the product and can make it noisy; too little, and a layer comes apart in use. We set the pattern and the dose for each joint.
Our adhesives have no perceptible odour and are compatible with indirect skin contact; they never touch the skin directly.
