LTWhat we already do
The cellulose in our absorbent cores comes from renewed, responsibly managed forests: a replanted resource, not one taken once and for all. It is virgin fibre: an absorbent core does not accept recycled fibre, for hygiene reasons. Our cellulose suppliers are FSC, PEFC and SFI certified. Our products ship in cardboard boxes, packaging that is sorted and recycled in most countries.
In our factories, part of the industrial plastic offcuts no longer goes to the skip: it is pelletised, that is shredded and remelted into granules, to serve as recycled material for other products, such as floor tiles or pallets.
What we do not sacrifice
We work to improve the ecological and biological profile of our products, material by material. But a product that leaks, irritates or lasts less long forces people to use more of it: a bad bargain for the person and for the planet. Every material change is therefore tested on the three criteria our reputation rests on, absorbency, leak protection and skin safety, before replacing the existing one.

Packaging sorting and recycling
In Europe, the packaging and packaging waste regulation, known as PPWR, pushes the whole industry towards recyclable packaging, widespread selective sorting and higher recycling rates. We support that direction and prepare our packaging accordingly.
For the used product, the rule is the same everywhere: a product is thrown away folded and closed with household waste, never in the toilet nor in the recycling bin. We explain the gesture in the step-by-step washing article.

Can a used product be recycled?
No, not in usual channels: it is thrown away folded and closed with household waste. The box's cardboard, however, is sorted and recycled.
Does a greener product absorb less?
Not with us: no material change is adopted if it loses absorbency, protection or skin safety.
